Katherine Freygang

In the 1960's, 70’s and 80’s, the Boston Children’s Museum and Michael Spock, Director, revolutionized the traditional museum experience, getting objects out of cases to where children could interact, experiment, and follow their own curiosity. Hands-on learning is now a part of American education.  Central is the belief that meaningful interactions with real objects, personal and enjoyment promotes learning.  My assignments were in Algonquin and Japanese cultural traditions.
